SATO at CeBIT 2017 Daily Round-up – Day Three
(Posted on 23/03/17)
As the doors open on CeBIT day four, we’re over half way through the event. We’ve witnessed big crowds, fantastic engagement with SATO solutions and key influencer networking opportunities throughout the first three days.
However, the importance of CeBIT does not lie simply in the new leads we can generate, it’s also about immersing ourselves in our own SATO solutions which we normally do not have a chance to see firsthand. By seeing what our friends from around the world are capable of, it opens our eyes to new, exciting possibilities as we move to provide end to end solutions to unleash IoT for customers.
We got involved in the Global Conference action too. Our very own executive officer, Masao Kodama took to the Sakura Stage to deliver an insightful presentation on ‘Integrating the virtual and the physical to bridge the last inch to the IoT.
So, with CeBIT Global Conferences the highlight of the day, what went well on day 3?
- Dream Team: Masao Kodama delivered a first-rate presentation, which was well received by the large audience in attendance. In the true spirit of cooperation between SATO companies, Mark Naples from DataLase and Jessica Rodrigez from Sato Global Solutions (SGS) joined Kodama-san to add solution-specific insight to the discussion.
- VISION on the Small Screen: Our VISION Retail Platform continues to be a major head turner at CeBIT. Yesterday, the SATO global solutions team was interviewed by a German camera crew on top of explaining the platform to untold numbers of interested people at the stand. We don't know how they keep up their great energy but we are looking into unraveling their secrets!
- More Good Times: After attending JETRO's Japan Night event in the evening the team bid adieu to several management leaders who are heading off to Poland to commemorate our new SATO production facility. A speech by the Japanese ambassador to Germany was followed by a sake cask opening ceremony (kagamibiraki) and a resounding taiko performance!
We may be half way through the week but our team momentum is building and building. This is evident in today’s video blogs by Joe Tolsma of DataLase. In the video below he interviews Jessica Rodriguez of SGS, where Jessica gives an overview of the technology. You can also view more CeBIT daily roundup action over on Youtube, where Chuck Pemble of DataLase discusses SATO Econano technology.
